Rest assured, your dolphin sighting is guaranteed with Cetacean Cruises. They’re so confident in showing you these majestic creatures that your next trip is free if you don’t! This assurance, coupled with their commitment to a small group size, ensures that everyone on board gets a clear view of the dolphins without standing elbow to elbow. There is an enclosed restroom on board but we highly suggest using the bathroom on the wharf so you don’t have to worry about the boat rocking while you are trying to relieve yourself. Don't worry you can also tip the crew anytime you are onboard The Explorer.
Things to know to plan your Cetacean Cruise Dolphin Cruise

Have you ever experienced a sailing adventure aboard a two-hull sailboat? Two hulls provide stability for a smooth ride without leaning to one side. Come enjoy a two-hour sailing cruise at sunset or a day sail aboard the Cetacean, a 52-foot Hawaiian catamaran. Our Orange Beach day sailing tours are great for the entire family! With the wind in our sails, the Cetacean skims along the waters of Orange Beach, Alabama and Perdido Key, Florida.
Everyone Loves our Sea Life Experience!
We highly recommend this cruise to families with children and older adults as well. The crew and captain were highly enthusiastic and very entertaining. We will definitely book another trip the next time we come down.

Choose Your Dolphin Cruise Experience!
A great family boat trip option is this sunset dolphin cruise with Dolphin Tales, departing from Zeke’s Marina. The tour itinerary focusses on the calmer waters of the Back Bay, rather than the choppier open seas, so that you can enjoy a calmer ride while looking out for dolphins, which frequent the waters here. Wildlife, such as pelicans and other water birds, may also be seen during the sunset cruise. With a slice of Gulf of Mexico coastline, Alabama is a much-underappreciated vacation spot. The Yellowhammer State’s waterfront hub, Orange Beach, is a top place to visit for sandy beach resorts, watersports, boat tours and plenty of chances to spot the region’s magnificent marine life.

Capt Nelson Box began dolphin cruising as a deckhand in 1998 until he could find a “real job”. Twenty years and thousands of trips later he is still enjoying being on the water and introducing people to the beauty found along our little corner of the gulf coast. 40 foot catamaran with a bathroom, snack bar and drinks, half covered for sun and shade, open bow area for walking around, AND kids can help drive the boat. One thing I loved was we were able to add a tip to our booking when we paid for the cruise. This was a great way of making sure the staff was taken care of and we didn’t have to bring cash onboard a moving boat and worry it might fall out of our pockets.

For your convenience, we have a snack bar on the boat which serves sandwiches, soft drinks, candy, chips, ice cream, beer, wine and mixed drinks.
The guys on the boat (I apologize for not remembering names) made it fun and exciting. We really enjoyed the way they interacted with everyone on the boat. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about dolphins and many other native animals in the area. They know how to locate the dolphins very quickly and we were able to watch them for quite some time. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone wanting to see the dolphins and nature. The Hangout - Located next to the Gulf Shores Public Beach this family friendly restaurant is so fun.
